Horizon Nuclear Power is a UK energy company developing a new generation of nuclear power stations to help meet the country’s need for stable and sustainable low carbon energy. As part of a Jacobs framework, Joe offers advice and onsite support for Horizon to assist their project delivery.• Lead CAD Technician for the South West Electricity Alliance (J2M) for National Grid. The Alliance consists of three partner organisations (Jacobs, Mitsubishi and Morrison). The Alliance primary function is to provide design and construction services on new build and refurbishment electrical substation projects on behalf of National Grid under a five year programme. Work value to date varies from around £40 million per annum to £80 million.Horizon Nuclear Power, Wylfa Site Preparation and Clearance: CAD Lead responsible for the inter office coordination and resource planning striving to deliver the package of works, set up Horizons CAD standards & procedures and offer onsite CAD/GIS advise and support.Multiple National Grid Substations: Lead CAD Technician for a new build and refurbs of NG substation projects. Responsible for drawing coordination and ensuring National Grid technical procedures are adhered to.National Grid FEED: Principal CAD Technician creating substation layouts and associated packages in accordance with the relevant specifications.Hinkley Point C: Principal CAD Technician working alongside a Principal Engineer checking and updating vast amounts of out-dated site drawings, creating new wiring schematics and layouts and liaise with site personnel to discuss planned modification works.
