Founded in 1897, Des Moines Golf & Country Club has a rich tradition, an active calendar an active membership, and a bright future. DMGCC features two Pete Dye designed 18-hole golf courses that see more than rounds a year, over 1600 members, including a wait list for golf membership, the Club is considered a jewel in the Midwest. The Club is well known for hosting the US Senior Open and the 2017 Solheim Cup, both considered very successful, record setting events. Other club amenities include a resort style pool complex, tennis, pickleball and paddle tennis courts, 2 golf simulators, and multiple dining and event venues.•Led the opening of a new brand new $9M, 225 seat restaurant including multiple patio spaces, fire pits, and a private dining space. This included implementing SOP’s, hiring and training a new team, purchasing all associated supplies and equipment for both front and back of house. •The primary coordinator of food and beverage, budgeting, hiring, orientation, coaching, training, inventory control, creating a culture of teamwork and the supervision of associates.•Budget creation and development responsibilities for over $4.5 million in Club Operations including Food and Beverage, House Keeping, Locker Rooms, Valet Service, Front Desk and Aquatics.•Managed my department’s transition and implementation from EZLinks to Club Essential accounting and POS software.•Thru the management of 9 Direct Reports, I am responsible for 135 employees in season; 70 Off Season spread across 6 different outlets, 3 Full-Service kitchens, Men’s and Ladies Locker Room, Aquatics, House Keeping, Front Desk and Valet.
