Member of founding leadership team at Planet Women, a startup nonprofit that focuses on women-led solutions to the environmental crisis. In four years, Planet Women has granted more than $2 million to 30 field projects in Africa, the Amazon and the American West and provided leadership coaching to 280 rising women leaders at major environmental organizations and grassroots groups.~Authored 3-year strategic plan and theory of change with the CEO and senior advisor of field programs.~Raised $1.1M in first 8 months of operations. Reviewed studies on gender equity and conservation, conducted interviews with donor prospects and field experts, and analyzed peer organizations to write Planet Women’s foundational case for support, brand story and website.~Created strategy for marketing and development. Grew our audience by 430% and doubled our annual revenue from year one to year four, raising $6.7 million in four years. Managed two full-time marketing and development staff and daily operations for all communications and fundraising.~Designed grant-making strategy for Planet Women’s Amazon region, distributing $400K over three years to Indigenous communities, women and youth leaders.~Built a network of more than 60 grantees and collaborative partners including large NGOs, grassroots groups, Indigenous groups, and science and policy leaders across the Amazon, Africa and American West. These relationships that have blossomed into joint events, partner fundraising and shared learning.~Produced and facilitated more than 40 virtual and 6 in-person thought leadership events, reaching more than 1,500 attendees.
