ABOUT JOANNA WILSON
From medieval bloodletting to modern breakthroughs – healthcare has always been a story worth sharing. It all started at the University of Toronto where Dr. Edward Shorter’s \"History of Medicine\" course had me captivated by the gory (and often bizarre) evolution of healthcare. That fascination with chronicling science and its impact led me to a career at the intersection of health and communications. Since that time, I’ve worked alongside pharmaceutical companies, wellness organizations, ministries of health, healthcare practitioners, and patient advocacy groups – helping them navigate complex landscapes, shape compelling narratives, and spark conversations that drive meaningful change. Because in healthcare, it’s not just about breakthroughs: it’s about how we tell the story.
