ABOUT JOANNA ARMAH-KINSON

I started work as a change consultant, helping organisations shift behaviours, processes, and outcomes. That foundation has shaped everything I do: I’ve always been focused on how structures operate, who they serve, and how they can be improved.Over the years, I’ve worked at the intersection of procurement, policy, and process design. Sometimes that’s meant reshaping internal systems or decision frameworks. Other times it’s meant getting deep into the operational realities of supply chains, product sourcing, packaging specifications, and new product introduction. I’ve worked across inbound and internal supply chains and understand both the technical complexity and the structural power dynamics that underpin them.Much of that work had me based in Africa, or working across Asia and the Americas, often in contexts where global frameworks meet local realities. And here’s what I’ve come to realise: compliance isn’t the same as justice. And fairness isn’t the same as equity.I’m now focused on what it really means to decolonise organisational processes. That starts with procurement, but it also includes how policies are written, how decisions are made, how people move through systems, and whose realities are reflected or erased in the process.This work is part systems thinking, part policy design, part political unlearning. I’m building a practical and pragmatic framework for organisations that want to stop reproducing exclusion through well-meaning systems and start embedding justice where it matters most.My background in procurement, inbound supply chains, process management, and change consultancy gives me the operational grounding.
