As Communications & Engagement Manager, I lead internal communications strategy and execution for Rumpke Waste & Recycling, one of the nation’s largest privately-owned waste and recycling firms. I collaborate cross-functionally to develop and deliver communications through digital, written and in-person channels. My responsibilities include managing the company intranet, directing employee recognition initiatives and supporting major organizational changes through strategic messaging and training. I also lead training in media relations, public speaking and presentations.* Internal Communications: design and oversee all internal communications planning, implementation and evaluation.* Special Events: direct special events to educate, recognize and motivate employees, including Rumpke Enhancement Day and Driver of the Year.* Change Management: assess impacts of changes to workflows, processes and policies and develop and implement awareness, training and mitigation strategies.* End User Training & Adoption: coordinate, develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees, vendors, suppliers and customers.* Communications Assistance: support media relations, crisis response, social media content and strategy, creative design, website updates and community relations.
