ABOUT JINAL KOTHARI

I am an AI & Compute Strategy Leader with over a decade of global experience spanning IT, energy, consulting, and national-scale technology programs. My career has evolved from delivering complex IT and consulting projects to leading multi-year, multi-million-dollar initiatives in high-performance computing (HPC), AI infrastructure, and cybersecurity governance. At Amii, I manage a $40M+ portfolio of strategic programs that expand Canada’s AI capacity. My work focuses on bridging AI and HPC, driving national-scale compute initiatives, and ensuring that technology investments translate into scalable and sustainable infrastructure for innovation. I thrive at the intersection of technology and strategy. I am recognized for a collaborative leadership style, an outcome-driven approach, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders. I work closely with governments, academia, industry, and partner organizations to deliver impact. I also enjoy solving problems, shaping portfolios, mentoring others, and advancing cybersecurity governance and resilience across the organization. Beyond my professional work, I contributed over six years to the PMI Northern Alberta Chapter, serving on the Board of Directors as VP of Membership. In this role, I supported a team, helped grow the community from ~1,600 to over 2,100 members, introduced surveys that improved engagement, launched a mentorship program that ran successfully for three years and is ongoing, and built cross-sector partnerships to strengthen collaboration I take pride in delivering programs at scale, turning strategy into results, and building the teams that make it possible!
