WORK HISTORY
President & CEO @Rail Passengers Association
Washington, DC, US
After a three-decade journalism career, I am now leading and transforming a 55-year-old 501c3 to become modern and relevant. Today, we have become a legitimate policy partner in transportation, infrastructure, mobility and economic opportunity, and our Association played a substantial role in developing the rail proposals which became part of the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in 2021. With tens of thousands of supporters nationwide forming the backbone of our grassroots network, we are dedicated to improving transportation choice throughout the United States.I was honored to serve on the Secretary of Transportation\'s National Advisory Committee on Travel and Tourism Infrastructure (NACTTI), appointed by then-DOT Secretary Anthony Foxx and re-appointed by Secretary Elaine Chao, where I helped to draft the NACTTI\'s final report to DOT and the Congress. I am also a member of the Federal Railroad Administration\'s Rail Safety Advisory Committee, and the RSAC Hazardous Materials Working Group, and the Passenger Safety Working Group. In addition, I am also part of the congressionally created Amtrak Food & Beverage Working Group, and have previously served on the FRA\'s Southeast Regional Rail Plan Working Group and Midwest Regional Rail Plan Working Groups.
