ABOUT JILL SAXON
I am driven by the belief that each of us has the power to help others. Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of helping others through service to our country, service to patients, and now service to other eyecare providers and optometrists. I started my journey with Bausch + Lomb in 2014, where I now serve as the Executive Director, Professional Strategy within the U.S. Vision Care leadership team, motivated by the opportunity to touch the lives of many patients. My responsibilities are focused on all aspects of our business that touch the lives of doctors and patients, from support of product launches through innovative and differentiated programs, creating impactful ways to educate doctors, or professional outreach identifying pathways to support optometry. Collectively, all aspects of my role come together to support the greater goal of deepening the connection to the optometric industry and together shaping the future. Before my tenure at Bausch + Lomb, I was fortunate to return to New Jersey and provide eyecare to my entire hometown community. I have also had the great opportunity to dedicate my time to serve as an optometrist at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, Maryland, where I proudly held the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Navy. At NNMC, I played a pivotal role in transforming the delivery of vision care for military members and their families, significantly enhancing our capability to provide essential vision treatment and services. Additionally, I led the Optometry School Externship program, mentoring students through the clinical program and earning the title of adjunct assistant clinical professor from institutions such as SUNY College of Optometry, Salus University (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry), Southern California College of Optometry, and Southern College of Optometry. As a proud member of the Armed Forces Optometric Society, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the American Optometric Association, my educational foundation includes a Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York, College of Optometry, and a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from Muhlenberg College. My passion lies in educating others about the importance of eye health and vision care, and in the personal growth and development of those I work with. I am committed to being a motivating and inspiring leader in the optometry field, fostering a positive and impactful environment for collaboration.
