ABOUT JILL GOSTIN

In April 2025, I retired as a Principal Research Scientist in GTRI\'s Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Lab. I worked in the Software Engineering and Architecture Division. I served as Project Director / Principal Investigator for multiple projects, and served as Deputy Director of the Information and Communications Lab. I began my career at GTRI in 1985, worked 10 years full-time, then 12 years part-time while my children were young, and returned to full-time work in Feb 2007.Specialties: Software Test and Evaluation, Design of Experiments, Stationary Target detection, fractal geometry applications, Software Coding Standards, Program ManagementI am also a highly active volunteer in my professional organization, I served as a corporate officer in 2023 when I was the Vice President, Member and Geographic Activities (MGA); as the Chair of the MGA Board in 2023; as the Region 3 Director (southeastern US and Jamaica) in 20••••21 (includes serving as a Director on the Board of Directors); on the Boards of Governors of the Computer Society and the Aerospace and Electronics Society; and as a VP of Finance for the Sensors Council. I have served in local (Atlanta), Regional (southeastern US and Jamaica), and global roles, and on multiple committees. I am currently the MOVE USA Communications Chair; a member of the Governance Committee; Chair of one Ad Hoc (Conduct Review) and serve on another Ad Hoc Education Strategy); and am acting Past Chair of Region 3. is truly my professional home!
