Setting performance targets and ensuring process visibility to measure effectiveness. Overseeing division operations with a commitment to transparency, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

In 2023, Minnesota enacted legislation to establish a Paid Family and Medical Leave program. Starting in January 2026, this program will grant workers up to 12 weeks of paid time off for serious medical conditions, pregnancy, or caring for family members. Individuals can claim a maximum of 20 weeks of paid leave within a single year.As the Chief Operating Officer of Paid Leave, my responsibilities include: Developing human-centered processes and straightforward solutions to support Minnesotans during significant life events. Building and leading a team to manage operations, including Claims, Contact Center, Appeals, Exemptions, Payments, and Internal Controls (estimated at 200 team members). Setting performance targets and ensuring process visibility to measure effectiveness. Overseeing division operations with a commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.In simple terms, our aim is to create the best government program for both employers and constituents-Prior to working for the State of Minnesota, I spent over two decades with Sleep Number where I held leadership roles in operations, IT, customer experience, and fulfillment. As an Integrator, I orchestrated transformative programs, creating new capabilities that led to: Faster recovery from delivery failures: Within 12 months, we slashed recovery time by 50%, saving over $2 million in canceled orders and $1.5 million in operational costs annually. Enhanced post-ERP order-to-cash process: Our cross-functional efforts resulted in $30 million in revenue reconciliation, cleared a $5 million refund backlog, and achieved a 66% reduction in system and process failures within 8 months of launch.
