ABOUT JILL CANALES

As President and Board Director at The Pink Journey Foundation, I collaborated with fellow board members to secure grants, facilitating the provision of mobile mammography services to women in underserved communities. As the Director of The Angels Breast Cancer Survivor Peer Navigation Program I am dedicated to advancing patient resources and education in oncology. Under my leadership, I successfully elevated the volunteer team by 600% expanded the media and online presence, and forged collaborations with influential non-profits and individuals within the breast cancer community. Throughout my tenure at Memorial Care Cancer Institute I played a pivotal role in amplifying the reach and influence of the patient support department. Collaborating closely with physicians, donors, volunteers, and non-profit organizations, I delivered impactful public speaking engagements and marketing presentations that resonated both locally and nationally. Engaging in weekly tumor boards, contributing to extensive breast cancer science education, and receiving recognition from the QOPI certification board underline my unwavering commitment.My contributions extend to multiple cancer research studies and conferences, earning me the prestigious Spirit Partner Award from the Cancer Research Collaboration in 2018. I am particularly proud of my committee membership in various cancer research initiatives.Committed to guiding individuals through the complexities of breast cancer treatment, I approach this mission with cultural and racial sensitivity, recognizing the diverse needs of the patient population.
