ABOUT JIANCONG CHEN
My areas of expertises include Stochastic Hydrogeology; Subsidence modeling; Advanced Machine Learning and AI Modeling in Water Resources; Remote Sensing Driven Ecohydrology and Applied Statistics.I am currently working at EKI Environment & Water, supporting both water resources projects and environmental/water resources litigation project, including working with local and state federal agencies, lawyers and clients in the private sector. Before joining EKI, I worked as a Research Associate Principal in the Environmental Geophysics department at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory where I developed deep learning driven and remote sensing based models to monitor complex Watershed Systems in the Watershed Scientific Focus Area Project. I obtained my M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley; and B.S. in Environmental Science from Tongji University. I am currently a reviewer for various hydrology, water resources, earth science journals; including Water Resources Research, Frontiers; Hydrology and Earth System Science.
