QA Electrical Inspector – M Power Plant•Inspected electrical installations for transformers, MV switchgear, and LV switchgear. • Monitored and inspected the installation of isolated phase busbars, HV disconnectors, surge arrestors, cable containments, earthing systems, lightning rods, and motors. • Verified the installation of fire alarm systems. • Conducted HV tests such as HI-POT, VLF, ground resistance tests, and insulation resistance (IR) tests to verify the integrity of MV cables and IPBs. • Performed LV cable tests, including insulation resistance (IR) and continuity tests. • Monitored and inspected the installation of ATEX equipment. • Conducted earth grid resistance tests and Ductor tests. • Ensured adherence to safety standards and compliance with the project\'s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system. • Verified the installation of electrical instrumentation and heat tracing for BOP. • Inspected and verified the installation of all electrical sensors and instruments for gas turbines and communication cables for panel interfacing. • Reported directly to the Site Quality Manager and collaborated with the construction team to resolve quality issues. • Implemented and continuously improved the Project Quality Plan, ensuring compliance with project specifications, procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements (MSS). • Issued Requests for Inspection (RFIs) to the client and maintained an accurate inspection tracking register. • Ensured inspections were conducted per ITPs, utilizing qualified personnel and calibrated equipment while checking required inspection points. • Identified and reported non-conformities to the Quality Control Supervisor, ensuring prompt resolution and compliance with quality standards. • Conducted visual inspections, dimensional tests, and checks on various electrical equipment during erection, updating as-built drawings as necessary.
