ABOUT JEREMY M. GOLDBERG

At Accenture, I serve as Principal Director for Transportation, Cities, and Infrastructure within the Public Sector Management Consulting practice. In this role, I help government clients navigate complex challenges through strategic innovation, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation.Prior to joining Accenture, I worked at Microsoft as Worldwide Director for Critical Infrastructure, and previously as the Americas Strategy Director for Cities and Urban Infrastructure—partnering with public sector leaders to advance smart, resilient communities. Before Microsoft, I served as Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the State of New York and as Deputy Secretary for Technology and Innovation, where I led the state’s IT response during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.Earlier in my career, I held senior technology leadership roles in the Mayor’s Offices of New York City, San Francisco, and San José, California, driving civic tech, digital equity, and data-driven governance initiatives.My work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal’s CIO Journal, and I’ve authored columns in NextGov, Government Technology, and StateScoop on digital transformation and public sector innovation. I’m also a recipient of several public sector fellowships, including the Senior Innovation Fellowship with Harvard’s Bloomberg Center for Cities through the Data-Smart City Program.In 2020, I was recognized as #2 on City & State New York’s Government Technology 50 list.
