ABOUT JENNIFER COVELLO

As a Bioanalytical Scientist at Tr1X Biotherapeutics, I am a part of a team advancing the field of immunotherapy by allogeneic Treg therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. I apply my skills in cell culture, flow cytometry, analytical and process development to design and execute experiments that characterize and optimize the quality and potency of our Treg products.I have a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a focus on Cancer Therapeutics from City of Hope Graduate School of Biological Sciences, where I focused on developing new immunotherapeutic oncolytic viruses administered with neural stem cell delivery vehicles for the treatment of ovarian cancer and glioblastoma multiforme. I also have a certificate in Bioscience Management from Keck Graduate Institute, where I learned about regulatory affairs and business aspects of the biotechnology industry. After completing my Ph.D, I did a postdoctoral fellowship in head and neck surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I studied the tumor-neuroimmune microenvironment interactions and their implications for cancer progression and therapy. I am passionate about applying my scientific knowledge and analytical skills to create innovative solutions for unmet medical needs. I enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic environment where I can contribute to the development of cutting-edge therapies that can improve the lives of patients. My goal is to leverage my expertise in immunotherapy, and the immune system to advance the field of immunotherapy and support the mission of Tr1X Biotherapeutics.
