Jennifer S. McGeorge represents public and private employers in class action and single-Plaintiff litigation cases focusing on labor and employment law issues. As a litigator, Ms. McGeorge represents clients in state and federal court trials, appeals, administrative hearings, arbitrations, and mediations involving a wide variety of labor and employment cases, including disputes involving class actions, Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims, wage and hour issues such as overtime and meal and rest period claims, and various other disputes. Ms. McGeorge also represents employers in single-Plaintiff cases involving claims such as wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and breach of contract matters.Ms. McGeorge has achieved numerous verdicts and decisions in favor of her clients as first chair counsel at trial, in arbitrations, and at numerous Labor Commissioner hearings. Ms. McGeorge’s practice also includes advising clients in human resources and personnel matters, such as employee discipline, terminations, leaves of absence, discrimination issues, employee benefits, drug testing, and collective bargaining agreements. Ms. McGeorge further specializes in conducting workplace investigations and drafting employment contracts, severance agreements, employment policies, and employee handbooks.Ms. McGeorge received her undergraduate B.A. degree in Political Science from UCLA in and her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, with a concentration in Intellectual Property in 2002. During law school, Ms. McGeorge was a member of the McGeorge Law Review, where she published an article which received the Stauffer Charitable Trust Award for excellence in legal writing and analysis. In law school, Ms. McGeorge also received Honors in Trial Advocacy, and was the Chief Articles Editor for The Transnational Lawyer.
