At SAOS, we work with food and farming businesses to make them more profitable, competitive and sustainable.Established in 1905, SAOS was initially formed as a Society to further co-operation in Scottish agricultural organisations (our full name is the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society - but that\'s \'very 1905\' and not easy to say/remember, so we tend to stick with just SAOS!) Well over a hundred years later, co-ops remain key to SAOS’s work, but our remit has expanded to explore and convert wider opportunities in food and drink supply chains, technology, innovation, data, quality assurance and climate change response. SAOS is a co-op, owned by over 60 member co-operatives whose collective turnover is around £1.5 billion.My role is to manage SAOS\'s communications with our co-op member directors, as well as printed, web and social media, promoting our co-ops, co-operation itself and the hugely varied work streams of SAOS which all help enable Scotland\'s farming and food businesses to work together more
