ABOUT JEFF BEACHAM

I\'m a passionate advocate for UK Manufacturing, having spent the majority of my career either supporting or working directly in Manufacturing. I have a thirst for knowledge and a fascination for manufacturing plant, equipment and processes. My background includes 11 yrs directly within Manufacturing across Production Operations and Quality and 25 years supporting Manufacturing businesses in a recruitment capacity from shop floor to boardroom. As well as being interested in how things are made today, I\'m also interested in manufacturing history.Whether it\'s the heavier industrial processes such as Forging and Casting, or Metal Stamping, Plastic Moulding and Assembly, I\'ve always had a keen interest in understanding how a process works. Throw some Automation & Robotics into the mix or some surface finishing and you\'ve got my attention.People will always be at the heart of Manufacturing. All businesses need a good workforce and strong leadership. Despite all of today\'s modern technology and AI, most factories do not run themselves - not totally, anyway. People thrive when they can express themselves, be creative, feel part of something and make a difference. Manufacturing provides so many learning paths for different careers and for people with different skill sets, personalities, backgrounds, cultures and experiences.Manufacturing is not just a job or career, none of us can live without Manufacturing. The food we eat, transportation, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, clothing, telecommunications, entertainment, academia, heating, energy, defence systems, you name it, none of it can exist without some form of Manufacturing. So glad to be a part of this fantastic sector that is intrinsic to our way of life.
