Take responsibility for the development, commissioning, and validation activities related to injection mould tooling.• Ensure that all moulds are delivered to the manufacturing department in a manner that guarantees robust solutions meeting the required quality, cost, and capacity targets within the agreed business timeline.• Collaborate with the Sales team and provide support during the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.• Assist Process and Quality Engineers during trialling stages and coordinate tooling development with Suppliers and Customers.• Focus on project management for tooling, including budget control, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation of new tooling and modifications.• Prepare RFQ documentation and distribute it to the supply base for quotation.• Conduct feasibility reviews and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assessments at all stages, resolving any issues before proceeding with manufacturing or changes.• Review and approve tool designs for manufacturing.• Coordinate trials internally and externally.• Manage and conduct audits of Suppliers.• Provide quotations for modifications and Engineering Change Notices (ECN), assess feasibility, and oversee implementation.• Support the Toolroom in the event of major breakdowns.• Ensure procedural compliance by maintaining up-to-date documents and records, including drawing control.• Collaborate with the Quality department on specific tasks, ensuring adherence to systems and assisting in the closure of corrective actions.
