ABOUT JEFF SCHERTZ

I’m a service operations leader with 25+ years of experience in motorsports engineering, field service and technical program management. My career began in the shop as a journeyman diesel truck mechanic, where I spent 20+ years turning wrenches, mentoring techs, and building a deep respect for the work that keeps fleets running.After nearly two decades in the bay, I went back to school to earn a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on motorsports. That led to an incredible opportunity working as an engineer with a NASCAR racing team—an experience that sharpened my skills in high-performance systems, data analysis, and precision under pressure.From there, I stepped into corporate leadership roles with global manufacturers like John Deere, Polaris, and Donaldson Company, where I managed service teams, led warranty programs, and implemented large-scale product support initiatives across dealer and OEM networks.Now, I’m returning to my roots—seeking a leadership role in heavy-duty truck service where I can blend my hands-on experience with my corporate, engineering, and racing background to build high-performing teams, drive efficiency, and deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
