ABOUT JEFF BLOOMQUIST

Jeff is a Partner in KPMG’s Financial Services Audit practice in Chicago with over 25+ years of relevant experience serving clients in various aspects of the financial services industry. Jeff has served in a lead partner capacity on numerous public and private clients across various industries including large global, regional and mid-market banking institutions, finance companies, diversified financial services organizations, the digital asset ecosystem, and real estate. Experience and skills include-Technical expertise and broad knowledge of accounting issues facing the financial services industry including fair value of financial instruments, credit and loss reserving, derivatives and hedging, accounting for income taxes, business combinations, stock compensation, digital assets and infrastructure, and regulatory reporting-Served in a lead partner roles on multiple public and private clients ranging from the largest financial services companies in the world to smaller local or regional institutions-Extensive SEC reporting and compliance experience including involvement with quarterly and annual SEC filings and numerous debt and equity offerings-Public mortgage REIT experience as well as digital asset and data center infrastructure-Execution of integrated audits of internal control at a variety of institutions and implementation of the requirements of the PCAOB and Sarbanes Oxley-Leading large teams of professionals across the audit and advisory functions including multi-location engagements both foreign and domestic-IFRS experienced and accredited-Carve out financial statements
