Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Capital Access (OCA), Loan Officer and underwriting business loans, home loans, loan increases, loan modifications, and grant programs- Reviews loan applications for program eligibility, with duties including but not limited to: researching and compiling data; mitigating recovery issues and insurance recoveries (DOB - Duplicate of Benefits); analyzing tax returns, transcripts and corporate documentation; commercial lending, analyzing collateral (business assets or liens / deeds on real property) to secure loans; and apply accepted analysis from financial resources to aid in assessing ability to repay and resulting loan determination decisions- Performs analysis of financial statements, accounting, and/or interpreting credit program rules and regulations to make informed decisions about the loan or loan application including corporate credit analysis, and commercial underwriting- Reviews all pertinent facts needed to make eligibility determinations by analyzing such factors as the nature and cause of damage, intended use of proceeds, legislative and administrative loan limits, financial statements, and disposition of insurance and other recoveries- Ensures loan documentation reports contain all pertinent documentation to include conversations and correspondence with applicants and written recommendations or justifications for conclusions- Responds orally and/or in writing to applicants.
