I’ve always been fascinated by how people move — through cities, through networks, through life.Growing up, I didn’t just look at roads or bridges; I looked at the stories behind them. Who uses them? Who struggles on them? Who feels safer because of them?That curiosity shaped everything that followed.I started my career working on major road projects for South Australia. It taught me how decisions made on a drawing, in a meeting, or on a construction site can shape the way thousands of people travel every day. I learned the importance of precision, communication, and doing things properly — because in transport, small decisions have big consequences.As I grew, so did my perspective.I moved into traffic investigations, working closely with communities and Ministers. This wasn’t just engineering — it was listening. Understanding someone’s lived experience, turning frustration into facts, and facts into solutions. My priority became simple:Make roads feel safer and work better for everyone. Quickly, clearly, and with care.Later, in network planning, I led Australian Government’s Black Spot Program — partnering with councils across the state to fix high-crash locations. It was one of the most meaningful chapters of my career. Every approved project wasn’t just infrastructure; it was a chance to prevent a family from receiving life-changing news. At the same time, I oversaw dozens of road safety upgrades statewide, each one a reminder of why I chose this profession.Today, in Local Government, I continue that mission at a community level — working directly with people, understanding their concerns, and creating practical, evidence-based improvements that genuinely help them move safer and live easier.Outside engineering, I run my own business, invest long-term, and explore new ventures. Entrepreneurship keeps me grounded and sharp — it teaches resilience, judgement, and the value of treating people well.Across everything I do, my values stay the same:listen carefully, think deeply, act with integrity, and deliver outcomes that matter.If you’re someone who values thoughtful work, genuine impact, and honest conversation, I’d love to connect.
