Reviews work requirements and production schedule with Press Operator.• Talks to assistants from previous / next shift to discuss any issues or challenges they had with material or equipment and how they were handled, as well as the progress of the work relative to the production schedule.• Shares best practices with other assistants.• Checks viscosities and understands ink requirements regarding solvent blend etc.• Checks schedules with Operator and ensures material, ink, cylinders are available forpress ahead of changeover.• Relieves the Operator during breaks, shares with operator issues noticed on a runduring absence.• Reviews colour match issues with Operator (progressive learning).• Works closely with operator to ensure they are providing the support required tocomplete the tasks for the shift.• Assists with mechanical issues with the press based on directions from the Operator.• Maintains a clean and safe press area at all times including sweeping and washing floors and equipment.• Trains new assistants.• Ensures that safety procedures are strictly adhered to.• Adheres to all requirements of Color Ad’s Food Safety Program. Report any issuesnoticed to a member of the Food Safety Team.
