ABOUT JASON WOOD

Drawing upon an impressive body of work that encompasses film and episodic content, Jason Wood continues to positively influence the strategic direction of casting and talent management. Today, as the Vice President of Casting for A&E Networks, he skillfully translates between the artistic vision of content creators and business objectives to deliver strategic success and critical acclaim. Jason is a trusted advisor to entertainment and media senior executives, colleagues, and production teams. A forward-thinking talent strategist, he creates and leads casting infrastructures that are vital in expanding audiences and positioning content brands as authentic and relevant across genres and platforms. A two-time winner (and five-time nominee) of the CSA Artios Award for Outstanding Casting, Jason is respected for his ability to identify and unlock opportunities to create and deepen talent partnerships across each brand ecosystem. His knowledge of industry trends and his encyclopedic knowledge of actors, musicians, comedians, writers, directors, producers, and other entertainment talent have been key in the delivery of hundreds of productions, more than half of which received industry award nominations and several talent and casting wins. Joining A&E Networks in 2010, Jason quickly became a member of the executive team that elevated the Lifetime brand. Today, he leads scripted casting for original features, movies, series, and miniseries across A+E brands, including Lifetime, as well as A&E Studios, which serves internal networks and outside buyers. Throughout his career, Jason has been recognized for a commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, accessibility, and belonging in casting and the championing of all stories. He has led casting for projects that have been honored with numerous Women’s Image Network, Black Reel, NAACP, and GLAAD awards and nominations.
