ABOUT JARAN DAVID MANZANET
As a recent MSW graduate from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service (GSS), I am eager to find an opportunity that will enhance my previous work experience. As a Bronx Native - Latino male, I would like to work for an organization/company that applies interventions that are geared to bridging the gap in low-economic status neighborhoods. I want to enhance my current skills in program managing, case management, mentorship, and networking. I have listed three major categories that I know can be a fit with your organization/company and team. • LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Previously, I had the opportunity to learn how to practice patience, empathy, consistency, mentorship, and coaching. I have been able to integrate my skills in retail by bringing back the human in human services upon entering the social service realm. • RELIABILITY AND WORK ETHIC: In all my leadership roles and volunteer activities, I have maintained an excellent record of time management, visions, acceptance of new challenges, organizations, and great communication skills. I am goal oriented, a team player, adaptable to changes due to environment, funding, and organizational structure. Lastly, I am able to complete a vast majority of tasks in a timely manner. • COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Previously, I have worked in community growth and development. Creating partnerships with community organizations to help enhance the quality of living for the individuals I worked with. I had the opportunity to network with NY Cares and City Meals on Wheels to have them sponsor and partner with the organization to help distribute additional resources to the individuals we serviced.
