ABOUT JANINE SMALL
To me leadership is all about real-life connections – finding inspiration in others and a common purpose to unite us. As a highly experienced pharmaceutical executive, my career at Pfizer has spanned over four decades, giving me the opportunity to connect and lead colleagues from around the world. Whether as a country manager in Slovakia or Poland or overseeing our emerging markets, I am focused on driving sustainable business growth through strong, long-lasting relationships that help put our medical breakthroughs in the hands of patients. In my current role as President of International Developed Markets (IDM) at Pfizer, I lead a team of over 3500 people across 40 countries to help make Pfizer’s ambition of changing a billion lives a year by 2027 a reality. I am dedicated to building true partnerships with governments, NGOs and patients to increase access to Pfizer’s medicines and vaccines across the globe. Connection for me is all about building a sense of belonging across the teams I lead, nurturing excellence in execution, embracing the gift of diversity, and ultimately being part of something bigger than ourselves. Through working as one community, we can redefine healthcare, and create a world where people live better and longer lives, together.
