ABOUT JAN GROOTEN

Jan has 20 years of construction experience and joined Bosa Properties as Vice President of Construction in April 2023.He joined Strabag in 2003 right after completing his studies at K.U.Leuven University in Belgium where he graduated with a Masters of Science (MSc) in Architectural Engineering. After having gained a few years of work experience he obtained his degree in General Management in 2006. He worked for Strabag and Kumpen in Belgium and the Netherlands, prior to moving to Vancouver in 2013.In Vancouver, Jan managed Strabag’s venture to Canada’s West Coast from 2013 to 2017, leading Strabag’s project team for the “McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport”, providing a high level of service and quality to a key client from Europe. He shows strong adaptability and creativity and has quickly built a strong network with many consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers in British Columbia.Jan has extensive experience dealing with pre-construction and construction process management, providing a holistic approach to all stakeholders, and never losing track of their needs and expectations. He has been actively involved in undertaking international projects from project conception until well after final occupancy.Currently based in Vancouver, Jan was Kindred Construction\'s Commercial and Mixed-use portfolio lead, and he ran the pre-construction and construction departments from 2019 through 2022. He has recently taken on the role of Vice President of Construction at Bosa Properties.
