As a Communications Coordinator at Civida, I contribute to the development of both external and internal strategic communications plans and initiatives of the Organization. I provide a range of communications support for various public relations, marketing and communications initiatives to advance the profile and image of the Organization with a diverse audience that includes clients, staff, government, media, stakeholders and the community at large. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to implementing communication plans, writing and editing content for web and social media, production coordination, minimal graphic design and event management. My favourite task is developing and creating new and innovative ways to engage our stakeholders.• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including staff, partners, industry, community-based organizations and government representatives.• Collaborate and build relationships with outside suppliers and service providers including printers, photographers and graphic designers. • Coordinate and plan all marketing aspects of special events and stakeholder consultation.• Liaise and collaborate with employee groups and cross-functional teams as needed and help provide or create solutions to communication problems.• Increase online presence by maintaining the Search Engine Optimization strategy• Develop content and assist with the development of strategies for digital communications including, but not limited to, websites and social media
