ABOUT JANA STACKHOUSE
Jana Stackhouse is an award-winning director celebrated for her warm and personal films which have screened at festivals internationally including TIFF, FIN Atlantic International Film Festival and LA Femme International Film Festival. Jana has received some of Canada’s top awards for her work like The Norman Jewison Award and The Harvey Hart Director’s Award. Jana wrote and directed the short film “Away Home”, which was selected for TIFF’s Canada’s Top Ten Film Festival and won the Best Female Director Award at Hollywood North Film Festival. She directed and produced the award-winning dramatic short film \"Camp Tipsy,\" which tells the story of a 14-year-old girl struggling with alcoholism. Having screened at many festivals internationally including LA, New York and across Canada, the film has received recognition such as Best Canadian Short and Best Director. Jana directed the web series “Note To Self” (CBC), which has garnered over 2 million views and received a Canadian Screen Award Nomination for Best Web Program or Series. Jana’s latest directorial work is the series “My Special Guest”, starring Juno Rinaldi (Working’ Moms), featuring Jann Arden.
