Data Coach @Achieving The Dream

View department →

I have served as a Data Coach for Achieving the Dream, a national initiative to improve student success in community colleges, from its inception in 2004. In this role, I have consulted with and coached 16 colleges, ranging from very large to very small, and urban to rural locations. I am particularly proud that El Paso Community College was the recipient of the Leah Myer Austin Award for 2011, Zane State College in 2012, and Texarkana College in 2016, and several others have been identified as Leader Colleges in Achieving the Dream. Through this work and membership in this reform network, colleges improve their use and understanding of data about their students\' success rates, and implement and evaluate ways to improve success. They work, with the guidance and support of a Data Coach and a Leadership Coach to transform their institution such that they can sustain and continually improve their work.
