ABOUT JAMIE ACHTMEYER

I\'m a new grad nurse interested in reproductive health! I am committed to promoting health equity, providing patient-centered care, and fostering inclusive and culturally competent care. I completed my senior preceptorship at Highland Hospital\'s labor and delivery floor, where I completed a project based on addressing the unique pain management needs of patients with opioid use disorder in labor. Additionally, in nursing school, I founded a club dedicated to the promotion of LGBTQ healthcare education, aiming to increase awareness, provide resources, and foster a culture of understanding and collaboration between students and faculty. I recently joined the Association of Women\'s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses to further expand my knowledge and engage with a network of professionals who share my passion for reproductive health. I am eager to continue learning and growing in this field, with the goal of providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports all individuals in achieving their reproductive health goals.
