I started Compost Junction to address the lack of food waste diversion in Grand Junction. Residents in our community can sign up for either weekly, or every-other-week service in which they will receive a 5 gallon, sealable bucket to store their food scraps throughout the week. We come by on their service day, collect their food waste, and take it to be composted. Subscribers to our service get finished compost back twice a year (spring/fall) to close the loop on food waste diversion.
