ABOUT JAMES RUSCHAU

Since the day my father brought home a Tandy computer, I have had an eye for technology. Growing up I loved coding, continued my passion at the University of Cincinnati where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and entered my career in information technology. Over the last 25 years, I have earned a reputation for speaking fluent geek while being just as comfortable in the boardroom or on the shop floor. I began my career with Schulte Corporation as an IT Systems Manager where I built out the entire IT department from scratch including hardware, software, networking, and related applications for over 300 users. As a one-man-band, I implemented an entire ERP system and built a robust network connecting the home office in Cincinnati with the manufacturing plant in Bloomington, IN. In I was recruited to Messer Construction where I served primarily as an IT Business Analyst for 15 years. The impact I had on Messer’s bottom-line continues to this day. I developed an integration tool for use with Messer’s ERP and AIA Contract Documents that cut contract production time 94%, saving over annually in recurring labor costs. Additionally, I earned the Lean Champion Award and was invited to serve on AIA’s new product design review board. In 2015, I pivoted into a new challenge in healthcare as an Epic Application Coordinator and Team Lead Manager for Bons Secours Mercy Health. I support over end users at 28 hospitals across Ohio and Kentucky. I am certified in Epic ADT/Prelude, and Security Coordinator. During my time in the role, I slashed the targeted user build time from 12 days to 5 days and reduced our queue 75%. While I’ve had tremendous success, I am most proud of the relationships I’ve built, and the trust others have in me. The reputation I’ve earned for managing complex problems while meeting tight deadlines is second to none. I thrive on learning new skills, solving puzzles, and taking on new challenges.
