ABOUT JAMES DEVOY

James is a respected global cyber security and risk Leader. Having spent over 12 years managing global cyber security and risk teams, 15 years at Board and Executive level, and over 35 years IT and IS experience. James currently is Managing Director for EMEA at Online Business Systems, responsible for managing and growing our business within the region. James also currently holds vCISO, Executive Cyber Advisor and non-executive roles within several other globally organisations. James has led major digital transformation, and customer experience programs that have allowed organisations to dramatically reduce their sensitive information, PCI data and general PII environments and thus governance scope. James is known among his peers as having a unique ability to demystify cybersecurity and risk with the pragmatic implementation of privacy and data security as a business enabler. Previous roles included being a UK Government advisor to businesses that were beginning to embrace the potential of the fledgling world of Internet commerce, a Directorship at RSM, Global CISO/EVP Cyber Risk, and security advisor to British Airports Authority, Over recent years James has built new cyber security and risk entities across the UK, Poland, South Africa, Brazil, Namibia, Spain, India and the USA. Over the past 6 years James has lived and worked in Poland, and the USA. Building valuable international experience and deep knowledge of GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO27001, SOC, SOX, CCPA, FedRamp, HIPAA and various other regional and global Data Privacy, Security and Risk regulations. Skilled and experienced in leading teams to deliver solid cybersecurity governance frameworks built on solid ITMS. James has regularly presented on cyber risk and regulations at seminars and conferences around the World.
