Part of a team of nine solicitors reporting to UK General Counsel and Executive Board in relation to all UK legal matters including: Negotiation of commercial contracts across all sectors and industries with multi-national clients in the UK and globally. Major outsourcing contracts with public and private sector organisations and including transfer of staff under TUPE Regulations. Negotiation and agreement of digital and technology agreements, including software licencing agreements, software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) app development agreements (aPaaS), consultancy services etc. Procurement of a legal panel and management of tender process for appointment of external counsel. Internal training on key legal issues to key staff as well as effective drafting, use of plain English and common pitfalls when drafting. Establishing new business entities and making them dormant where necessary, involving the instruction and management of external counsel across a number of jurisdictions. Point of contract for HR team in relation to any employment law queries. Ensuring high standards of integrity and adherence to key compliance and governance areas including anti-bribery, modern slavery and managing conflicts.
