Acted as the lead on marine consents for the Western Link 2 HVDC interconnector for NGET for the Optioneering and Marine Survey phase of works, managing consultants, permitting and stakeholder engagement across multiple international jurisdictions. Working in partnership with the NGET team to support Environmental Scoping and Assessment phases.Working within NGET with our JV partners on large scale transmission infrastructure within the UK. Through the work done here. we are looking to further of Grid upgrade works, removing constraints within the UK and deliver greater energy security for the wider UK.Previously worked in the environmental consultancy industry, contributing to the UK EIAs. This included supporting the realisation of projects\' value, internalising externalities and ensuring adherence to UK legislative requirements.Recent Environmental/EIA/SEA projects include:Marine Licencing and Permitting of works for the Old Borax Jetty for the Cory DCO development;Due Diligence Permit Feasibility Reporting (Likely Requirements for Works, as well as Time and Cost to Acquire);Supporting clients on Offshore Windfarm Schemes;Marine and Terrestrial Scheme Support (Ports);Museum of London Redevelopment (EIA);Isle of Man Ferry Terminal Development (Post Consents);Port Redevelopment Optioneering Feasibility Consultation (Secondment);SSEN Network update consenting strategy;CCUS Consenting Strategy; andUK Airspace Change Strategic Environmental Assessment.Previous responsibilities included: research and procurement of permitting information for potential international telecommunications projects; orders forecasting; and places of interest. Investigations into social, environmental and technical considerations for the siting of systems, mitigating potential concerns to projects to improve the realisation of projects.Managing several aspects of projects from third party agreements, environmental and permitting bid aspects on prospective projects in addition to managing customer. requirements and concerns.
