Prior to joining Booz Allen, James led organizations from 30 to 4,100 personnel during a highly successful military career. He served as Battalion Commander and Deputy Brigade Commander at the Fires Center of Excellence in Fort Sill, Oklahoma supporting the U.S. Field Artillery School, revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Doctrine and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and streamlining organizational structure, facilities, personnel, and Initial Military Training (IMT). He also served as an Executive Officer at the United States Military Academy at West Point, managing the conceptualization, development, and implementation of Military Science courses to Reserve Officers and USMA Cadets. James gained extensive experience working with foreign partners while he served in billets as Brigade and Battalion Operations Officer and Fires Planner in South Korea, where he developed and implemented daily and long-term operational plans that incorporated ROK forces and international partners and sister services. James is a graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He is a proven leader, strategist, and is experienced in solving complex problems, managing risk, developing leaders, and driving operations to achieve timely and positive results.
