ABOUT JAMES CONSTANTINE

Since studying Travel and Tourism at High School always wanted to work within the industry and develop my studying further, Since finshing High School I have taken my education further by Graduating BA and MA In Tourism Management at Liverpool Hope University. I have over 14 years of experience working within the hospitality industry with working in chain and independent hotels groups such as Crowne Plaza, Premier Inn, Holiday inn Express, Malmaison, Hallmark Hotel Group, Radisson Blu and INNSIDE by Melia. Each hotel I have worked have gained different opportunities to grow my career in hotel management. The one thing I have learned from working as a productive manager is to treat your team with respect, strong structure and planning to achieve targets. Very big believer in developing my staff and helping them grow by guiding them and supporting team members for their career prospects. During my time as Front Office Manger at Radisson Blu Liverpool the biggest achievement for me was setting up clear instructions and upsell the company loyalty program, Radisson Rewards. Before I had taken over as FOM hotel loyalty program was really poor with lowest for enrolling guest in the group, Radisson rewards become a daily routine around the hotel when I started as Front Office Manager, every member staff from Reception to Food and Beverage team were now constantly enrolling. Within 3 Months been manager at the hotel we become top 5 for in enrolling within the UK. I enjoy training staff and delivering group training. I qualified as a company trainer for Radisson Hotel Group training New starters with company YES I Can Training. I am also a trainer for moving handing champion. During the COVID-19 pandemic I had taken a break from my hotel career working in health care. Working in Health care was very physical emotional during the pandemic seeing people with dementia in care home sadly pass away with the virus, Family could not come in and see love ones… You get the picture …. I learned a lot about myself working during COVID-19. The things myself and colleagues had seen this I would never leave me. With having over 13 years off experience in the hospitality industry I have decided to change my carrer and work in the Travel side off my degree. With all my knowledge and experience I have gained over the last few years put into practice in the aviation industry and work within the sales team with JET 2 and Jet 2 Holidays. Always enjoy meeting and contacting many people growing together.
