Hands on experience with stereolithography (SLA)(Formlabs 3B+ & 2), two-photon polymerization (Nanoscribe), fused filament fabrication (Apium M220, Markforged two, Ultimaker 2 and Creality Ender 3); direct ink writing (EnvisionTec Bioplotter), selective laser sintering (EOS P100) and associated post-processing techniques. Experience with 3D scanning (FARO arm), modelling (segmentation), and file repair/cleaning. Material characterization - Medical and AM materials knowledge/experience – Polymers (PDMS, PEEK, PLA, TPU, PCL, carbon fiber, commercial SLA resins). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning colorimetry (DSC), particle size analysis, surface contact angle analysis, temperature cure and water absorption/swelling studies, UV surface treatment, mechanical performance (tensile, compressive and Shore A hardness) and data interpretation following ASTM/ISO standards and lab-based protocol. Software - Autodesk Fusion 360 (CAD), Meshmixer, 3D Slicer, Materalise 3-Matic, Simplify3D, Cura, Eiger and PreForm, Bluehill (mechanical testing suite), Origin Labs/Prism and Image J. Competent planning, designing (DOE), executing experiments within budget and time frame, production of detailed, concise scientific reports & technical presentations.
