Currently, I serve as a Records Management Specialist for the Town of North Hempstead. I am responsible for maintaining the database and the items that are contained in the inventory. I also manage the destruction and arrival of items that need to be archived. Additionally, I have recently accepted an Adjunct Professor position with New York Institute of Technology, where I am teaching a course known as Foundations of Inquiry. I am also teaching at St. John\'s University for the Discover New York course with a focus on the political and immigration history of New York City. From June 2015 until July 2016, I attended Baruch College, where I received my Master in Public Administration via the National Urban Fellows program. From 2009 to 2015, I worked as a Money Services Businesses Analyst for Actors Federal Credit Union. During this time, I have developed a Point Of Banking strategy for our Money Transmitters members, which has helped to increase volumes by 20 percent. Since 2009, the MSB department has grown to over 20 accounts which require detail to every transaction and needs in order to help the money transmitter meet their wiring needs. Additionally, I have become familiar with compliance standards and have been responsible for sending up to four million dollars in wires daily. Outside of my responsibilities with Actors Federal Credit Union, I have served as Treasurer for the Urban League of Long Island Young Professionals as well as Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Kappa Xi Lambda chapter. I have hands-on experience as it relates to monthly reconciliations, developing treasurer\'s reports, and receiving money and making deposits.
