ABOUT JAMAL M.

I’m passionate about the intersection of physics and entrepreneurship, with a strong focus on cutting-edge quantum technologies. My work bridges experimental and theoretical quantum photonics, with a long-term vision of building scalable, fully integrated quantum systems.Previously, I worked as a Photonics Engineer at Xanadu in the Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing Devices team, contributing to the development of practical quantum computing hardware. As an NSERC CREATE scholar in quantum computing, I’ve gained experience across experimental, theoretical, and simulation-based studies in quantum optics and quantum information systems.Currently, I’m pursuing my PhD at the University of British Columbia, where my research focuses on integrated quantum light sources using heterogenous photonic platforms.
