Honored to help build this new role for the Institute within the Department of Quality & Safety, I partner with Risk Management, Data Analytics, Patient Experience & Equity, Health System Improvement, Regulatory Compliance, and frontline staff to translate frontline insights into system-level safety improvements. Some of my responsibilities are still evolving as the role grows with the ever-changing field of oncology and our Institute, including collaborating with the risk team on safety event analyses, identifying patterns, and influencing cross-functional mitigation plans to reduce risk and improve the patient experience. I also champion our culture shift toward Just Culture principles, supporting a fair, learning-focused approach to safety and accountability.
