ABOUT JACOB ROONEY
I’m a third year MA Geography student with a strong passion for climate change, sustainability, and the intersection of environmental responsibility with financial systems. My academic journey has deepened my understanding of global environmental challenges, and I’m particularly interested in how finance can play a pivotal role in driving sustainable change.I recently completed an internship in private equity at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where I gained hands-on experience working on ESG reports, GP reports, and conducting company data analysis using eFront Insight. This opportunity strengthened my analytical skills and expanded my understanding of how environmental, social, and governance considerations are increasingly shaping investment strategies.Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a career in private equity, wealth management or investment banking where I can integrate my passion for sustainability with financial decision making.
