ABOUT JACK VANSTONE

As a seasoned Landscape Architect with over two decades of experience, including significant tenures in senior design and leadership roles, I\'ve earned a reputation for skillfully executing complex projects with a blend of creativity, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail. My extensive portfolio spans land development, city building, mountain resort design, major urban park creation, natural area conservation, and high-performance sports facility planning. In my role as Senior Landscape Architect and Director, I\'ve consistently procured, curated, and delivered a diverse array of projects for both public and private sector clients. One of my key strengths is building and leading multidisciplinary teams. I lead a skilled core team, complemented by a network of technical design specialists from various disciplines, including engineering, fabrication, and construction, called upon as necessary. I have actively participated in the field, serving as a Director of the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects and contributing six years of service to the City of Calgary Urban Design Review Panel. Additionally, I take pride in nurturing the next generation of architects as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary School of Architecture, Landscape, and Planning. My leadership style is adaptive, responding to the needs of the team and project. I believe in fostering growth and facilitating efficient project delivery through a blend of strategies and techniques. My philosophy emphasizes the continuous refinement and improvement of the design process, a crucial cornerstone of successful projects.
