Jack Snelling retired from politics in March 2018 after 20 years in the South Australian parliament and 8 years as a minister. Jack had a reputation for leading complex reform and as an advocate for these reforms with the South Australian public.Jack has been responsible for the largest infrastructure project in South Australian history, the New Royal Adelaide Hospital. He is well respected by stakeholders in the portfolios he has held. These include Treasurer; Defence Industries; Health Industries; the Arts; Employment, Training and Further Education; Science; Road Safety; and Workers’ Rehabilitation.As well as his portfolio responsibilities, Jack was responsible for Government parliamentary strategy as Leader of Government Business having previously also been Speaker of the House of Assembly prior to being a minister.Jack Snelling has a reputation for integrity, as a strong advocate for complex and difficult reform, and for bringing consensus among disparate parties.
