As Program Manager, I oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs that facilitate international or domestic cultural exchange experiences. This particular program involves professionals participating in educational, cultural immersion opportunities in the United States bringing a unique perspective from their home countries or communities.Responsibilities:1. Program Design & OversightDevelop and manage the structure, goals, and timeline of cultural exchange initiatives.Ensure the program aligns with organizational objectives, funder requirements, and cultural sensitivity standards.2. Participant Recruitment & SupportPromote the program through outreach efforts (schools, embassies, social media, etc.).Select, onboard, and support participants before, during, and after their exchange experience.Provide orientation and cross-cultural training to help participants adjust and engage meaningfully.3. Partnership & Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain relationships with international or domestic partners, such as NGOs, universities, host families, or government agencies.Act as a liaison between participants, hosts, and partner organizations to ensure smooth communication and coordination.4. Logistics & OperationsCoordinate travel, housing, visas, health insurance, and safety procedures.Handle scheduling, event planning, and budgeting.5. Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure programs meet all legal, immigration, and safety standards (e.g, J-1 visa regulations in the U.S.).Develop protocols for handling emergencies, conflict resolution, and incident reporting.6. Evaluation & ReportingMonitor program outcomes and gather feedback through surveys, interviews, and reports.Use data to improve program quality and report to funders or institutional stakeholders.
