ABOUT J. JEFFERSON EDWARDS

With over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Jefferson Edwards is a seasoned leader and strategist who drives Shell Energy\'s global business integration and market analytics. Shell Energy is responsible for the marketing and trading of gas, LNG, power and environmental products within Shell, one of the world\'s largest energy companies. As Vice President, he leads a diverse and talented team of professionals across six locations, who provide insights and recommendations on natural gas, LNG, electric power, hydrogen, CCS and carbon markets, including supply, demand and pricing developments. He also spearheads strategy initiatives within Shell Energy related to LNG, electric power and carbon management, aligning them with Shell\'s ambition to become a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050. He is a member of the Shell LNG Marketing and Trading and Shell Energy leadership team and a trusted advisor to senior executives and stakeholders. Jefferson is passionate about advancing the energy transition and promoting the role of natural gas and renewables in the global energy mix. He has extensive experience in engaging with policy makers, regulators, industry associations, think tanks, NGOs, and multilateral organizations on energy policy and regulatory affairs issues, especially in Asia and Europe. He has been a frequent public speaker and panelist at prestigious events such as the World Gas Conference and CERAWeek. He has also been recognized for his work to support gender equality in Singapore, receiving the HeForShe Impact Award in 2017. Jefferson holds a MS in International Business Diplomacy from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a BA, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. He also completed the OUBEP Summer Programme 2021 - Markets & the Globalised Economy from the University of Oxford. He enjoys hiking, skiing and music in his spare time.
