ABOUT J ANANDU

I am a Rural Management Professional with a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from IRMA and over 5 years of experience in the rural and tribal development space. Currently, I am part of the Health grants team at Azim Premji Foundation in Bengaluru.Previously, I served as a Community Program Manager at Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission, where I got the opportunity of leading a diverse team, in implementing community projects and initiatives in health, education, skill development, livelihoods, and rural infrastructure, impacting over individuals in Attappady, Kerala. I also contributed to building structures and frameworks for the Community Works division and supported its expansion. In addition to this, I was also involved in preparation of CSR proposals, fostering donor relations, and collaborating with the internal team on financial management, social media management and content creation. My expertise here includes project management, project design, fundraising, and monitoring of social development projects.Prior to that, I worked as a Young Professional in the World Bank-aided large-scale poverty alleviation program called JEEViKA, under the Bihar State Rural Livelihoods Mission or Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society. As a Young Professional here, I headed a block-level Project Management Office as a Block Project Manager. In this role, I had the opportunity to lead a diverse grassroots team consisting of social workers, coordinators, agriculture experts, accountants, and MIS assistants. I also got the opportunity to facilitate creation and nurturing of community-based organizations and implemented various state and central government programs, benefiting around households in Purnia, Bihar.
